Dale Barney ~ President and CEO ~ dale@barneyinsurance.com
The agency was first established in 1885 and has had a total of 7 owners since then. Dale went
to work within the agency out of high school in 1976 and then bought the agency from his father,
Reginald, who retired in 1996. Dale is fully licensed in both property & casualty and life & health
insurance and has worked in the insurance agency business for over 30 years. He is a native of
the Mascoma Valley and lives in Canaan with his wife, Bobbi, and their children. He enjoys
snowmobiling, skiing and listening to and playing bluegrass music and is a past president of
the Canaan Lions Club.
